Forestry mulcher BF 602
Our forestry mulcher – BF 602 requires a tractor with between 250 and 400 hp. It is the first model to offer a width of over 2.2 m. In view of the power and surface to be worked, the forestry mulcher is equipped with 2 polychain belts in carbon.
What’s more, the fixed V-shaped teeth ensure clean, trouble-free work. Both the claws and the door of our forestry mulcher are equipped with two hydraulic cylinders, type TP, to guarantee optimum resistance during work. What’s more, these two elements have been designed so that there is no interference when either is opened or closed.

To maintain the useful power of your forestry mulcher – BF 602, the skids are adjustable in three positions: + 45 mm / 0 mm / – 45 mm. Plaisance Equipements has also chosen to manufacture its soles in Hardox®, a hardened steel renowned for its resistance to wear and impact.

What power for a mulcher?
The power accepted for a forestry mulcher depends on the power of the PTO installed. If it is compatible with your tractor, all you must do is choose the type of hammers and the work you want to use it for.

If we take the example of the forestry mulcher – BF 602 and BF 652, tractors between 300 and 400 hp can be equipped with both. The difference lies in the specific features of the mulchers. The BF 652 is the reinforced version of the BF 602. In other words, the BF 652 is manufactured with extra belts, rotor shafts and larger bearings to withstand work in tough conditions.
