3 Plaisance Galotrax and Variotrac self-propelled machines in the USA at Mid State Land Clearing. Kyle Fretwell uses them for his forestry mulching work. His numerous posts on social media allowed us to talk to him more specifically about his business and his choice of our Plaisance brand for his projects.
Can you introduce your company?
Our company is Mid State Land Clearing out of Nashville, Tennessee in the United States of America. We started in 2013. We are large scale land clearing company. Our primary work is large development clearing for neighborhoods, commercial sites and government projects but we also will do smaller private work.
What machines do you own?
We have have three Plaisance forestry mulchers : a 2017 Galotrax 300, 2016 and 2017 Variotrac 300.
How did you hear about the Plaisance brand?
We heard about you from ConExpo Las Vegas, Nevada in the USA.
How would you describe the Plaisance self-propelled machines?
Very simple machines, powerful but not to large. Very simple to repair, very fuel efficient but also very light: we like that we can transport two 300s on our semi trucks.
Which one do you prefer and why?
My favorite machine is our Galotrax 300, it’s very nimble but it will climb extremely steep terrain with ease. Our big advantage with these machines is they are not large in size but they are powerful it allows us to underbrush our projects quickly if that what’s required.
Have you considered replacing any machines? If so, which one do you think would be useful for your projects?
In the future, we would like a Galotrax 450B or a 600B as we grow into larger projects.
