The French forest as an example
In France, the forest has recovered from 8.5 million hectares in 1985 to 17.1 million hectares in 2022. And every year, it expands by 85,000 hectares (source: France Bois Forêt). Why mulching is the most ecological and safest way to reduce wood waste?
After a cut, a lot of wood residue is left behind, making it impossible to restore the area to its original state. This is where the forestry mulcher comes in. It reduces large pieces of wood to shavings, allowing the soil to breathe again and healthy vegetation to take over, unlike burning, which destroys all forms of life. It’s also preferable to use a clearing machine rather than a herbicide spraying machine to clean up large plots of land.
