Mr Rolot and Plaisance loyalty through the decades thanks to a happy coincidence! During his most recent visit to PLAISANCE ÉQUIPEMENTS, Mr. ROLOT of Rolot & Fils SA agreed to talk to us about this tenth testimonial.
This regular customer represents the forestry company Rolot & Fils SA. The company offers a range of services including surface and stump grinding, stone and chip crushing, tree felling, forest road restoration and earthworks.
Mr Rolot started out as a farmer. A few years later, he came to work for a neighboring company and tried out a Plaisance mulcher completely by chance. Convinced by the equipment’s efficiency, he decided to invest in his first mulcher in 2002: a BM 600. From 2003 to 2010, the company alternated between agricultural activities (mainly in summer) and forestry work (mainly in winter). Eventually, Rolot & Fils SA left the agricultural sector to specialize in forestry. In fact, the company carries out larger worksites, particularly in the vicinity of railroad lines and freeways.
To ensure its growth, the company invested in PLAISANCE ÉQUIPEMENTS for over a decade. In all, some thirty self-propelled mulchers were ordered over the years, including the Galotrax models: 300, 400, 500 from previous ranges, as well as the Variotrac 400, the BS 1002 and various hydraulic forestry mulchers.
With a head office in Belgium (Winenne) and one in France (Givet), the Group covers a very wide area: from Belgium to the Grand Est, and even Paris. The company employs a total of 25 people.
In this tenth testimonial, we also asked Mr Rolot to give us his opinion on Plaisance products.
What can you say about the evolution of the machines?
There have been changes to the engine, the cabin (greater comfort) and to the electronic management system, particularly in terms of forward motion.
Can you say a few words about the PLAISANCE brand?
We are happy with PLAISANCE for several reasons: the proximity- we are only 300 kilometers away ; the service- it is efficient, and the availability of parts is great ; we speak the same language- it is easier to talk to them.
What is your favourite machine?
I do not have a favorite machine. But I prefer Galotrax, the self-propelled tracked machines, because you can use them all year round.
